Product Description

La Couronne du Prince is the Grande Cuvée from Cellier des Princes in Côtes du Rhône which is only produced in the best years. To make this cuvée, the best plots are selected, mainly Syrah, which makes this southern cuvée marginal compared to the majority of Grenache cuvées. We also select our old Côtes du Rhône vines which are between 30 and 50 years old and all the grapes are harvested by hand.

  • ORIGINAL TERROIR

    Clay-siliceous hillsides or moors with alpine alluvium on the surface.

  • GRAPE VARIETIES

    Syrah 50%, Grenache 45%, Mourvèdre 5%.

  • WINEMAKING

    Harvested by hand. Total destemming, Vatting for 4 to 5 weeks in stainless steel vats, daily destemming and pumping over. Fermentation temperature from 28 to 30°C.

  • AGING

    12 months in oak barrels, 1/3 of which are new barrels (3-year rotation system).

  • TASTING TIPS

    Drink now and can be stored for up to 8 years. Serve between 14°C and 18°C.

  • SUPPORT ADVICE

    It can be consumed with all dishes of Mediterranean cuisine, even spicy ones, goes perfectly with dishes in sauce, grilled meats such as a leg of lamb with thyme, or game such as wild boar or venison.
